Shout outs to Nino Brown LOL from Fli Pelican. If you remember last month I posted his clothing line to put y'all on whats poppin in the midwest; well I got a chance to chop it up with and ask him a few questions about his line and how he got started. Check out what he had to say....
Well I read the bio and I posted that on that with a few of the pics but I wanted to get a little more details so I can know more and to put people on to your brand
1. When did you officially start?
I guess you can say I started when I began doing graphic design 12 years ago, but FLI PELICAN has taken 2 years to get where it is now.
2. How did you come up with the name and the concept?
The name actually came from a partner of mines in Chicago, with more study found out that the Pelican symbolizes "Selflessness" and the FLI stands for Finding Love Inside
3. I read in the bio that the line is comic-book based, is that how you came up the logo and did you draw all of the characters?
Yes, some characters are personal creations, others are my rendition of some of my favorites.
4. What did you do to put your name out there and how did you go about promoting your line?
Alot of footwork getting in the street and getting people familiar the old fashioned way.
5. What is your advice for someone who is tyring to start their own line?
Just focus your energy on one thing at a time, completion of one step then move to the next.
6.Do you have any futher projects you can speak about and is there anything in the making that we should look out for?
Well, FLI PELICAN MUSIC GROUP is one of my babies in creation as we speak, with our first project Earlly Macmillion and a follow up artist that I can't speak on at this time.
7. Last but not least.....do you have any shout outs LOL?
